Suicide Prevention Day, Help When You Need It

September 10th is World Suicide Prevention Day. The World Health Organization estimates that over 800,000 people die by suicide each year –that’s one person every 40 seconds. Up to 25 times of those will make a suicide attempt.

There are many reasons people find themselves feeling so hopeless that suicide seems like an option. There’s a devastating ripple effect, which leaves many, many more people devastated by suicide.

And this is happening in spite of the fact that suicide is preventable. ‘Connect, communicate, care’ is the theme of the 2016 World Suicide Prevention Day. Help is here when you need it.
