Road Rage Incident in Grand Forks

bystander's car hit during incident

Grand Forks police are looking for two cars involved in an apparent road rage incident that left a car damaged Friday afternoon.

According to Kenneth Blua, the driver of the car that was struck, the two cars almost hit him pulling out of the Kmart parking lot on the library side.

He said he then witnessed one car ram the other onto the berm in front of the Grand Forks Public Library.

The cars then proceeded toward South Washington when one of them flew into reverse, traveled about 100 feet and struck Blua's car, he said.

"I tried to put it into reverse, but I didn't have enough time," he said. "But it was kind of scary. I didn't know what to think. I thought he was going to stop since he had so much time to do it, but he didn't."

Blua was on his way to the hospital to visit a family member at the time of the crash. He said he just bought the car today.

The Grand Forks Police Department told Forum News Service it was looking for the two cars and hope an identification number found in a mirror that fell off one of the cars involved will help them track down their suspects.
