An Airline Required To Compensate Passenger For Rotten Seafood

A small-claims court in B.C. has told a budget airline that they owe $800 to a passenger who had a bag full of fish go rotten during a five-day baggage delay. Brian Vu had a bag packed with “crab meat, fish cakes, sea cucumbers, and dandelion root,” even though his plane ticket warned passengers of not putting “perishable items in checked luggage.”
