Alanis Morissette recently opened up about her thoughts on her Jagged Little Pill song "Ironic."
Talking with Rolling Stone's Music Now podcast, Morissette said that she got a lot heat and "shaming" for "Ironic" not actually being about irony.
She even has a reference in the Jagged Little Pill Broadway show with a character saying, “That’s not irony [...] That’s just, like, shi**y.”
In the interview, Morissette also mentioned that she did not even want the song on the iconic album, but ended up liking the melody.
