Detroit Votes To Decriminalize Psychedelic Mushrooms

Voters in the city of Detroit have elected to decriminalize psychedelic mushrooms.

Earlier this week the city approved Proposal E, which made possession and use of psilocybin "the city's lowest law-enforcement priority".

Detroit isn't the first Michigan city to decriminalize 'shrooms' - Ann Arbor did so in 2020. Washington D.C. and Denver have also decriminalized, while the state of Oregon has legalized psilocybin for therapeutic use.
